Jane Griffin, founder of Positive Story, is a former television and radio news reporter for BBC and ITN with more than twenty-five years’ experience in journalism, B2B public relations, corporate communication, issues management and crisis communication. 

Jane has worked in senior corporate communication and media relations roles, both in-house and agency-side. Prior to founding Positive Story in February 2021, Jane was media relations director at a London PR consultancy advising technology, industrial and energy clients launching businesses in new sectors and geographical markets. She was previously Global Head of Media Relations for the infrastructure business of the leading international engineering and construction company, Bechtel for seven years and was Head of Corporate Communication for Europe’s largest train leasing company, Angel Trains Group, then owned by RBS Group for five years. 

Jane has also held media relations roles at Eurotunnel, Network Rail, the Association of Train Operating Companies, BAE Systems and the General Medical Council.

Jane has extensive crisis communication and issues management experience gained from handling high-profile issues throughout her career. Examples include illegal immigrants crossing the Channel Tunnel, the Potters Bar rail crash, protests on a construction site in Oman and a Competition Commission investigation into train leasing.
